Clean design for optimal function

Find the right drain system for your kitchen sink

The sink is the most-used workspace in the kitchen: Cleaning vegetables and washing ingredients, draining off cooking water, and rinsing dishes in the blink of an eye. For speedy work, everything that belongs in the drain should run off safely. With a high-quality drain system, work gets done quickly, whether you work with one or two sink basins. Manual or automatic drain activation is available to match the sink.

hansgrohe supplies drain kits for very different installation solutions, regardless of whether the sink is integrated in a kitchen unit or in an island solution. The technical system harmonizes with any kitchen style, with the siphon practically invisible under the table. The hansgrohe accessories ensure a perfect connection to the waste water pipe, integrates the overflow, and offer the option to connect the drain of a washing machine or dishwasher.

The steps to optimum drain technology for your sink

  • Test them out: stainless steel or SilicaTec granite sink. Both variants have their own collection of drain kits, due to the differing material thickness. For combination with hansgrohe stainless steel sinks, the overflow and drain guard are brushed stainless steel.
  • Choose: single or double sink. hansgrohe stainless steel sinks with two basins require a drain kit for two overflows, where one overflow is enough for the version in SilicaTec. Background: In the stainless steel double sinks, excess water drains separately from both basins. In the granite version, the two basins are connected and use a shared overflow.
hansgrohe stainless steel sinks with one basin have a drain kit tailored to the material with one overflow.
The size of the basins generally does not play a role in the selection of the drain technology.
  • Choose: manual or automatic drain. The sink can be closed with a drain guard, which is operated manually or automatically. It dams up water and prevents anything from getting directly into the drain and clogging the siphon. Manual operation means that you reach into the basin to open or close the lock. With the automatic drain kit, you turn an excenter remote control. A second faucet hole on the rim of the sink or in the countertop is required for the rotary knob. In hansgrohe sink combinations with the Select button, you can enjoy an innovative operating concept that combines drain control with water control. At the touch of a button, you can start or stop the water flow, while a slight turn raises and lowers the drain guard over the drain. The mechanism of the remote control is hidden under the sink.

Save space, gain flexibility

All hansgrohe drain kits use space-saving drain bends and siphons, leaving room for other utensils in the undercabinet. The adjustable mounting pipes can be adapted to the respective sink situation. The drain kits also harmonize with the hansgrohe sBox. The secure hose storage ensures the best mechanics of our kitchen faucets with pull-out function.
