In addition to these details, we may store and use any further data that has been legitimately collected by us for advertising our own offers. Information on user behavior

As we strive to optimize our offers and our advertising to meet our customers’ needs, we require information on the general utilization behavior of our customers. For this purpose, we create user profiles using pseudonyms according to the user data that we have legitimately collected in order to allow your utilization of our website. This means that we shall replace all details in the utilization data which could allow any conclusions to be drawn as to your identity (such as IP address, user names and passwords) with an abstract feature. The user profile is not combined with data on your person, nor is it used for any other purposes. You may object to the use of your personal data for creating user profiles at any time.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will usually be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, if IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated in advance within the area of Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the whole IP address be first transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for the website operator and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. Google will not associate the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Furthermore, you can prevent Google’s collection and use of the data obtained through the cookie and your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. Given the debate about the use of analytical tools with full IP addresses, we would like to point out that this website uses Google Analytics with the “_anonymizeIp()” extension. IP addresses will therefore only be processed in a shortened form to prevent persons from being identified.

We also use Google Analytics to analyze data from AdWords and the DoubleClick cookie for statistical purposes. Should you not wish to take part, you can deactivate this in the Google Ads Settings (http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=en). Further information on the terms of use and privacy can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/en.html and https://policies.google.com/?hl=en&gl=en.

We have set up the Tynt tool on some of our websites. If content is copied and pasted from these websites into e-mails or posts on social media (e.g. Facebook), this tool also adds a link to the corresponding website and lets us know which website was accessed as part of the copy-paste process. This information is collected solely on an anonymized basis. At no time can Hansgrohe see who has shared the content and with whom. Further information on this tool can be found at www.tynt.com.

Access to the information storage of your terminals (use of cookies)

We only use cookie technologies without your prior consent in order to enable your utilization of our website. Cookies are text files which contain information for identifying visitors who repeatedly use our websites, among other things. They are stored on your terminal and retrieved by us from there. During these processes, we do not collect and store any personal data without your express prior consent. In particular, we abbreviate your IP address so that no reference to your person can be established. Additionally, we only collect and store details on options selected by you (e.g. language version, country pages, B2B or B2C offers), the product ID from the notepad or download center, frequency and duration of the site visit etc. You can set your browser settings accordingly at any time should you not wish to receive cookies, or in order to delete them from your terminal. If we wish to use cookies for optimizing our offers and advertisements to meet demand, we will obtain your prior consent thereto.

Usage-based online advertising

Through usage-based online advertising (so-called remarketing/targeting), we are able to identify you anonymously in marketing activities and assign you to a target group in order to be able to display advertising related to your interests. When you visit our website, a cookie is stored on your computer for this purpose. This cookie enables us to collect information about your activities on the websites you visit (e.g. advertising banners clicked on, subpages, surfing behavior, etc.). Using this data as a foundation, we generate a user profile under a pseudonym. This usage profile does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person or identity.
Depending on your interests, a targeted placement of advertising of interest to you is made possible during your visits to websites of other providers. You can, of course, revoke your consent to this in your browser settings at any time by deactivating cookies with effect for the future.

External service providers

We are partially assisted in the collection, processing and use of personal data by selected service providers which act strictly according to our instructions in accordance with their assignments. They are checked by us before commencing their activities and on a regular basis thereafter.
