Bathroom Renovation: How Much Dream Bathroom Is in Your Budget
Want to update your bathroom, and unsure about outlay and costs? The renovation is indeed made up of many factors, and the choices are immense. hansgrohe gives you clues with three budgets: Basic, Comfort, and Premium. Bear in mind: The actual costs incurred depend on the size, necessary structural measures, and equipment requirements.
Updating a classic bathroom: More showering comfort through a hansgrohe shower system and timelessly beautiful faucets on the existing connections.
Basic: Update from EUR 2,000/m2. With this bathroom, you’re off the hook
Want some freshening up at a manageable cost, but noticeable profit in the bathroom?
First step: choose timeless, modern ceramics and furniture that give your bathroom a new shine.
Put the focus on showering fun. This is already ensured by a budget-attractive Crometta shower pipe that continues to use existing connections, combining hand shower, overhead shower, and thermostat.
Also install a new hand shower on the bath tub; the bath tub carrier will be re-clad.
The update is rounded off by attractive faucets on the bath tub and on the replaced sink. Use existing connections for this purpose.
Standard dimensions are required for tiles, and the user’s own work can be considered for the demolition of old coverings. Plaster walls and cement screeds save on tile work and are on trend.
Comfort: Bathroom update from EUR 3,000/m2 for sophisticated requirements
Bathroom renovation at a higher cost: A spacious shower area with overhead shower and Select technology. Designer faucets round out the picture.
Would a little more be all right? Perhaps you enjoy a creative space solution with more showering pleasure and design:
With this budget, a ground-level solution is already possible, for which new sewage pipes and connections have to be laid.
This also applies to state-of-the-art, concealed-installation shower technology, such as an XXL overhead shower. In combination with the hansgrohe Rainmaker, the ShowerTablet, which is connected to the concealed cable and combines the shower control with a shelf, is perfectly suited.
Plan a single-pane safety glass for partitioning on one or two sides, as well as an individual solution for the shower area.
Design faucets on the sink underline the upscale fixture.
Premium: Renovation from EUR 4,000/m2 for an exclusive wellness bathroom
Individuality and the highest standards take shape in the bathroom. The Premium bathroom renovation will probably require a budget of over 4,000 euros/m2.
Are you fortunate enough to be able to renovate on a grand scale, or even convert an existing room? You will be met with dry construction measures such as moving walls and doors and laying pipelines.
Now you can combine a luxurious overhead shower such as Rainmaker Select with the RainSelect shower control. Both products use concealed installation.
For a consistent look, the floor is rebuilt, together with a floor drain channel for the shower area and the pipelines for a freestanding bath tub. The floor-standing bath tub faucet is an especially premium addition
Choose an exclusive bath tub enclosure such as large wall panels, natural stone or porcelain stoneware slabs.
Sink consoles made to measure and an exclusive lighting design are then almost an matter of course.
Before - After
Example of a bathroom renovation
Before and after with a wow effect. Benefits in comfort and design can be achieved with just a few changes to the existing floor plan, as the example shows.
Before and after: New life for the old bathroom – a success story
No more tired, uniform looks, no more tripping hazards! The floor-level shower uses the drain of the shower cabin, a modern Raindance overhead shower with wall connection replaces the previous exposed installation solution with a wallbar. The new overhead shower and the ShowerSelect concealed installation thermostat make use of the previous connection options; to do so, the wall must be opened and the adapted pipeline plastered. The installation of the shower area requires a floor drain for which the modern siphon can be placed in a recess in the screed. The new bath tub is located opposite and connected to the existing WC drain. Porcelain stoneware in a wood look is tiled throughout and laid into the splash area of the walls, creating a more lavish space. A designer sink with a faucet from the Metropol line replaces the two individual sinks. Faucets and shower products are all equipped with the Matte Black surface finish, making the newly renovated bathroom look especially modern. A well-planned modernization provides undreamt-of comfort and a fresh look, even in a small space. Clean architecture with modern design makes the bathroom truly inviting!
